Hello, Beaders! My newest thing to experiment with, (other than how to get "Windows" scans converted and onto my Mac designed web page) has been beaded bottles. I've done some netting, some peyote (finally tried 2-drop peyote, and some combinations of the two. So far, I think the netting has been the most successful. I'm decorating mostly 4" bottles. They come corked, but I've had fun designing beaded closures for them. I hope to get some of them photographed the end of April, and then I will try to upload them on this page. SOOOOOO, come back and visit soon!
These are three keyrings that I designed as a learning experience. The first one is done with square stitch, the second one is tubular square stitch, and the one on the right is my early attempt at African helix.
Well, it is a month or so later. I did get the work photographed, but it is still at the developer. I tried another new technique last night, and produced a cool looking bracelet. I found the directions in a bead magazine. It was for tubular, spiral peyote. Tricky to catch on to, but not really hard once you get the rhythm. I want to try more of this.
